The conditional clause
الجمل الشرطيه
تتكون الجمل الشرطية من جزأين جزء يبدأ
IF
والجزء الثانى بالنتيجه المترتبه على الحدث الموجود فى الجزء الأول
هىوالجمل الشرطيه تتكون من 4 انواع
1-probable
if+present simple ........................shall\will\may\can+infinitive
ومعنى هذا النوع الاحتماليه فى الحدوث
ويتبعها المضارع البسيط وفى النهايه بعد فعل المستقبل الفعل فى المصدر
EX=
*if you study hard ,you will succeed.,you will bein big trouble.
*if sales donot improve soon ,we will have to lay off some workers.
*the dog will bite you , if you pull its tail.
*if you sell more than you did last year ,i will buy you anew car .
*if the report isnot on my desk tomorrow morning
2-improbable\unreality
if+past simple .........................should\would\might\could+infinitive
ومعنى هذا النوع غير محتمل وغير حقيقى
ويتبعها الماضى البسيط وفى النهايه بعد فعل المستقبل فى التصريف الثانى الفعل فى المصدر
EX=
*if iwere abird ,iwould fly .
*we could go out ,if it stopped raining.
*if we spent more on research and development ,we would not be so behind technologically.
*if we controlled our expenses a bit better ,we would save alot of money.
*if you spoke less and listened more, you would be more aware of what people really felt.
3-impossible
if+past perfect ........................should\would\might\could+have+p.p
ومعنى هذا النوع مستحيل لانه حدث تم بالفعل فى الماضى ومن المستحيل انتترتبهذه النتيجه فى المستقبل
.have+p.pويتبعها الماضى التام وفى النهايه
EX=
*if he had succeed , he would have joined the university.
*if i had known that you were ill , iwould have gone to see you .
*if i would left the house on time, iwould not have missed the train.
*if you had not beenout when icalled , i would have told you yesterday.
*if i would have bought a mercedes , if i had been able to afford it.
4-fact
if+present simple.................................................present simple
ومعناه الحقيقه
ويتبعها المضارع البسيط وفى النهايه المضارع البسيط
EX=
*if we put suger in water , it dissolves.
*if you heat ice , it turns into water.
